Reading is no longer simply a matter of understanding words and sentences but it now entails using browsing icons, scrollbars, hyperlinks, images, music or maps of places. Apart from the book, what tools do we have today for reading a world suffering from a surfeit of undigested information? What is illegible, invisible or indecipherable?
