Poetry Slam Barcelona

Creation centered on the word & the stage

April sees the start of the fourth Barcelona Poetry Slam season. Half poetry, half performance, the poetry slam is a poetic contest with a lively, dynamic, participatory format that creates a new relation between the public and the poets. Barcelona Poetry Slam is a platform for contemporary artistic creation centring on the word. The project places the word and the stage at the centre of a new cultural offer, using the slam and the spoken word.The regular championship has been held since February 2010.
