Philip Hensher
Cycle Llocs/ Lugares/ Places: dialogues with british writers (II)Philip Hensher (London, 1965) is one of the most renowned and influential writers on the British literary scene today. A journalist, university lecturer and the author of seven novels, his work reflects the diversity of contemporary English society and reveals a special sensitivity when expressing the delicate relations between characters and the world of which they form a part. The author affirms that often he starts “ (...) with an object, in a room; with a detail, with something that could only exist in a particular nation, town, street or even house. A psychology emerges; a narrative starts."
At this event, Hensher will talk to us about the influence of place in his literary imagination and his creative process, to mark the presentation in Spanish of his book King of the Badgers ( El rey de los tejones, Libros del Asteroide, 2013), at a session that will be hosted by publisher Luis Miguel Solano and that forms part of the British Literature Cycle Llocs/ Lugares / Places.
