Pantalla CCCB, a month an artist

Greta Alfaro (Pamplona, 1977) reflects on the contemporary by revising the narrative associated with both tradition (legend, myth, folk tale) and the history of art. Her work recreates mysterious rituals and celebrations that often involve wild animals and beasts that are traditionally related with darker aspects of life such as death, illness, dirt or aggression, acting as a metaphor for our behaviour as human beings and recreating the perpetual struggle between the individual, nature and society.
