New Sounds 2004The Contemporary Musics. New Sounds 2004 cycle will be present at the CCCB with innovative proposals from around the world. A taste of some of the registers and figures that make up the heterogeneous music of our times. Impulses, projects, initiatives and compositions that visit experimental, vocal, percussion, scored, improvised, electronic and multimedia music. Fragments of constantly changing musical reality scheduled by the festival director, Agustí Fernàndez.
Concerts by the Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble, Acteon (computer opera), John Taylor (contemporary jazz star), Bang on a Can All-Stars (the music making New York buzz), Hermann Kretzschmar (new German pianism) and the Octeto Ibérico de Violonchelos make up the bill.
