L'Alternativa 2004

11th Barcelona Independent Film Festival

The Barcelona Independent Film Festival, L'Alternativa 2004, has reached its eleventh year. The aim of L'Alternativa is to publicise film that is innovative, personal and committed, and so necessary to ethical and aesthetic education, to discovering new ways of seeing, to awakening consciences or simply moving us.  

 

The Official section includes the screening of 70 films from all over the world. This year's Parallel Sections are: Robert Bresson: making the invisible visible; Synergies of history: Don Askarian; Magical realism; Germany documentary film; Hybrid forms; Independent Dutch cinema: past and present; Tribute to Alain Tanner; Southern viewpoints; Fernando Birri and World film schools . Every evening, on the Foyer screen, L'Alternativa will be presenting an interdisciplinary space that is open to the public.
