La luz en las ondas (Light on the Waves) is a competition organised by ICFO-Institut de Ciències Fotòniques in which various students aged between 15 and 18 years produce poems and short science-fiction stories inspired by light. In turn, ten artists convert these texts into songs, in an example of interaction between the arts and the sciences in line with the ideas proposed by Kosmopolis. Some of the participants in this competition, including musicians, teachers and members of the jury, will show the results of this collaboration and explain the work process and how science can be a subject for musical or literary creation. Collaborating artists have included Bläue, Joan Colomo, EXXASENS, D-Fried, Glissando*, Fernando Lagreca, Lucy & the Bossons, Megaafonia, Pulpopop and Miss Q.
