Griots tí Garage: A Musical History of the African Diaspora

Drawing on musical experiences and extensive research, Dennis Rollins presents his personal tribute to over 500 years of black music.

An historical musical journey inspired by the African Diaspora that documents the horrors of slavery and field-work songs; the developments of blues and jazz and of such diverse musical genres as samba, soul, reggae and the new urban beats such as hip-hop and garage.

This musical show is perfectly complemented by a mix of VJ imagery which, coupled with live performance, intensifies the emotional impact of this powerful story of drama and transcendence.
