Autumn Concerts 2008 - Orquestra de Cambra Catalana

Encounters

This concert, Encounters, showcases two composers from home: Oscar Briche, a young composer with a bright future, Barcelona-trained and currently resident in Vienna, and Benet Casablancas, a member of the previous generation and one of the foremost names in present-day composition in Catalonia. It also features a 20th-century classic, Paul Hindemith, and the magnificent Kammermusik op 24 num 1, and a Johann Strauss waltz arranged by Arnold Schoenberg.
