Centre de Fotografia Documental de Barcelona screens Joan Guerrero

Joan Guerrero is one of the foremost documentary photographers in Catalonia, where he arrived as a very young man to work as a labourer. In Santa Coloma de Gramenet, the town where he settled, he became socially committed and was therefore forced under ground during the last decade of Francoism. Democracy gave his work great strength as journalism, not forgetting its poetry and humanity, the most characteristic components of his work as an author. He will be with us to comment on the images.
