Are we alone in the universe? This is the question at the heart of the work carried out by the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) community, which has been trying to capture signals of extraterrestrial intelligence with huge radio telescopes since the 1960s.
Are we alone in the universe? SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) has been asking this question since the 1960s. The SETI community is spread throughout the world: in the United States, Europe, South Africa and Russia, scientists are trying to capture extraterrestrial signals with huge radio telescopes. The film includes the participation of Frank Drake, the founder of SETI and creator of an equation that estimates the probability of the existence of intelligent life in outer space, and Jill Tarter, who works at the San Francisco laboratories in which the new Allen Telescope Array is being built.
