Electrospoken

A project based on music and words that rescues and revindicates the spoken-word genre from the contemporary perspective of the language used by disc-jockeys.

Electrospoken involves a discourse based on more or less instrumental music (electronic, hip hop, rock, vanguard, pre-recorded organic sounds...) and "clean" words (recitals, readings, brief or hyper-brief narrations, speeches, fragments of interviews, etcetera) retrieved from numerous recordings. American beatnik sound notebooks, Brazilian avant-garde poets, acid philosophers, Rif visionaries and a long etcetera, build up a discourse that, played over a high-intensity, low tempo sound track, recovers words as an experience in contemporary music.
