BCNmp7. City, Rumba and Fusion
Now in its fourth season, BCNmp7 continues to offer alternative takes on the present-day music scene and new concerts that illustrate the fusions and frictions affecting various musical genres.
At this upcoming BCNmp7 session, we'll see how the city can be a venue for multiple fusions, appropriations and redefinitions, but it can also be a reactive border space.
The session includes a screening of the documentary From Mambo to Hip Hop: a South Bronx Story, by Henry Chalfant; a round table followed by a look at the relation between city and sound, and concerts with Calima and El Tío Carlos.
