48H OPEN HOUSE BARCELONA. Visit the TEATRE CCCB

48H OPEN HOUSE BARCELONA is an annual cultural event that began in 2010, opening up 130 buildings free of charge to the residents of Barcelona. Although created to reinforce identity and territorial implantation in this city, it is organized in the context of the Open House World Wide international network. The weekend of 22 and 23 October sees year two of the festival, promoted by the ArquitecturaReversible cultural organization, with the aim of familiarizing citizens with the architecture around them.

The CCCB is taking part by opening the doors of the Teatre CCCB, now that the remodelling of the Old Theatre of the Casa de Caritat almshouse has completed the extension of the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), 17 years after the opening of the main building surrounding the Pati de les Dones courtyard. The new space comprises the Sala Teatre, a multipurpose hall with capacity for 600 spectators, and the Sala Raval, with capacity for 170 people.
