Amanda Masha Caminals
Curator and co-director of the organization Translocalia
Amanda Masha Caminals is founder and co-director of the organization Translocalia, a network of artists, curators and designers to plan for the future through art. As an independent curator she recently curated the 2019 edition of Mobile Week Barcelona and directed the CITY STATION at the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB, 2017-2018). She has worked in institutions including the Institute of International Visual Arts in London (2011 - 2013) and Casa Triângulo in São Paulo (2013 – 2014) and she has curated shows such as Stephen Dean: Jugglers (Casa Triângulo, São Paulo, 2013), INTERSTITIAL ZONES (The Showroom Gallery and Matt’s Gallery, London, 2015) or UnderLOOP | 59min at Cine Avenida de la Luz (LOOP, Barcelona, 2017). She holds a BA in Humanities from Pomepu Fabra University in Barcelona, a Degree in History of Art from the University of Barcelona and an MA Hons in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in London.
