BAC! 08 Réveille-toi

From 2 December 2008 to 28 December 2008

BAC! 2008 will be back with new reflections on fashion, art, trends and
advertising. Once again, it will be open to artists and theorists who
are prepared to look for answers and new directions... or to break new
ground in ways of thinking about the importance that fashion and
consumption have taken on in our society.

 

Photographers, designers,
plastic artists, video artists, illustrators, musicians... conferences,
workshops, fashion parades, Bakito (Bac kids)... will focus on this
theme, defending the kind of art that has everyday consequences and is
usefully integrated into life. Success is usually presented to us as
the only way to achieve happiness according to rigid, conservative
patterns of behaviour: to be the best, whatever it takes. A way to
rebel against this situation is to ask artists to discharge their
bullets against that wall of intolerance and fantasy, constantly
questioning established models. Réveille-toi!
