The exhibition The City of Film-makers uses fifteen thematic sections to reveal the viewpoints of film-makers and the metamorphoses which the city has undergone as a result of being interpreted by the cinema.
These are the personal landscapes, the urban geographies created by the views of some of the foremost film directors. Their works dramatise the city, turning it into artificial spaces, interior spaces, hellish spaces - an uninhabitable city; or into sentimental spaces, spaces of memory, of reconciliation, and contemporary forms of the non-place. Their visions produce the ghetto, violence, private lives lived in public places...La ciutat dels cineastes
