David Saurí

A geographer, he is a member of the Department of Geography and of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has also been director of the Centre of Environmental Studies at this university (2000 – 2003). His research is concerned with natural and technological risks, management of water resources and changing land uses in Mediterranean spaces. In 2007 he was awarded the Prize for the Environment of the Institute of Catalan Studies and the Caixa Sabadell Foundation.
